Hey my loves! Moving
on with my 2012 favorites posts this one today will be all about my favorite makeup
products of 2012. I don’t think I have anything too exciting to show you, but I’ve
used and loved these items a lot. If I've reviewed/swatched any of the products
I will put a link to the review/swatch post to each one (I'm so behind with reviews, damn..). Let’s take a look! ;)
Elf Studio Cream Blush
in Tease : it’s a lovely
neutral peachy color that goes almost with everything. I’ve paired it with
smokey eyes, neutral eyes, red lips, berry lips, it’s just the perfect “nude”
color for me and I love the consistency of it.
Too Faced Shadow
Insurance Eye Shadow Primer : I won this eyeshadow
primer in a giveaway quite a while ago, but I hadn’t opened it. I opened it
around November I think and I’ve been loving it ever since. Don’t get me wrong,
I still love my Elf Mineral Eyeshadow Primer, but when I need my eye makeup to
last a long time I’m using the TFSI!
Elf Studio Cream
Eyeshadow in Dawn : I didn’t do a yearly
favorites post for 2011, but if I had done one this product would definitely be
in it. It’s a lovely neutral, everyday color that lasts a long time on my super
oily eyelids with a primer underneath and you don’t need to set it with a
powder eyeshadow, so it’s extremely quick and easy. Love it!!!
Elf Studio Cream Blush
in Temptress : Yeah this looks
brown, I know lol! I don’t use it as a blush obviously, it’s too.. brown. I use
it to contour my cheeks and it works great without looking obvious, plus it’s
almost foolproof since it’s a cream product.
Sally Hansen Cornsilk
Matte Shine Control Powder in No Color : I think this product has been discontinued or
replaced with another product, but I’ve had it for a long time and hadn’t used
it at all. It’s a really nice powder that doesn’t contain any color, so it
doesn’t alter the color of my foundation.
Garnier Anti-Dark
Circles Roll-On in Fair/Light : I didn’t think that I would like this product so
much when I bought it, but I do! My under eye circles are not very
dark/intense, so that’s all I need to cover them and brighten the area, plus
the metallic roller ball feels so nice and refreshing!
L’Oreal Telescopic
Waterproof Mascara in Black : I won this in a
giveaway and up to that point I loved big, fat mascara wands. Well, that has
changed with this mascara. It has a very thin plastic wand with very short
bristles and it grabs every single lash making my lashes look like fake. I’m
obsessed with this mascara! It holds my curl as well, awesome!!
Essence Waterproof
Liquid Eyeliner in Black : I suck at liquid eyeliner, I admit it. I try to draw a
line and it looks like a picture from a cardiograph! With this liquid eyeliner
though I have quite a lot of control and the sponge tip applicator is quite
flexible and soft, so it doesn’t hurt my eyes. Definitely try it!
Elf Mechanical EyelashCurler : If you’re afraid of eyelash curlers, then give this a go. I used to be
terrified of eyelash curlers, but after trying this I can’t put mascara on
without using it first. It’s the only eyelash curlers that I use. They have a
really sturdy grip, so that you won’t risk pinching your eyeball, and they’re
so affordable!
Elf Eyebrow Kit in Dark : I’ve been using this
on my eyebrows for 2 years now and I’ve barely made a dent in it. With this kit
you can make your eyebrows look natural or dramatic, you can do whatever you
want. Plus it’s so affordable and the packaging is really cute and convenient!
NYX Concealer in a Jar
in Beige : Along with the Artdeco Camouflage Cream, this is my favorite concealer
for blemishes. It lasts for hours on my oily skin, even when I don’t set it
with powder, and it provides good coverage.
Lovie Lipstick in Nr.
60: I love this
lipstick, especially when combined with taupe eye makeup. It’s so pretty! And
affordable too!
Have you tried any of
these products? What were your favorite makeup products for 2012? I’m always
open to suggestions and I love trying out new things!
